Chateau Élan British Motorcar Days 1985 - 2005
Chateau Élan Winery & Resort is settled in the foothills 40 miles North of Atlanta.
It occupies 3,500 acres, including a 4 diamond 4 star luxury resort. Within the
resort contains 2 restaurants, art gallery, wine market, wine tasting and tours,
as well as golfing and luxury spas.
Chateau Élan is a 16th century style French chateau that opened in 1985. And is
the largest producer of premium wines in Georgia.
It has also been the venue of the British Motorcar Day from 1985 to 2005. In
rememberance of the past British Motorcar Day shows, it has been fun to say the
least. This grand chateau with over 500 different British cars spreading over
the beautiful rolling lawns was a sight never to be forgotten. Not only MG's,
but Jaguars, Truimphs, Austin Healeys, Sprites, Minis, Land Rovers, Lotus, Rolls
Bentleys, if it was British, it was there. And I am happy to have been a part
of it from 1995 to 2005.
